Have you ever put on a $300 pair of jeans and wondered what makes them so special? I know I have. But of course I buy them anyway. Cheap Monday is out of Sweden and they get it. They get the fact that we’re sick of paying high prices to make our butts look good. (Don’t get me wrong, I’d pay just about anything to make my butt look good). Cheap Monday makes quality jeans at a fraction of the price. These men’s jeans are $65. No, I’m not forgetting a number - they’re really $65. You can find these at Riveted.

With just a few days until Apple Cup I have a confession: I’m a Cougar with more purple than crimson, I wear a Husky football jersey on Saturdays and I tailgate at every Husky home game. It’s genetic; my family’s had Husky season tickets for 60 years. It really doesn’t make me less of a Coug, I promise. In fact, after finding these MissSmartyPantsUSA.com underwear, I can always have my cougar pride on. This Seattle company is changing football spirit from the bottom up. Whether you’re a Coug or a Husky or a Beaver or a Duck…. the right panty is just a click away. The cost for these hot shorts is $20.GO COUGS!

I’m always on a mission for a new jacket. Always. My closet is full of them, but I can’t stop myself from buying more (it’s an addiction). That’s what happened in the West Seattle boutique Carmelia’s. I walked in and found this slim fit Tulle single-breasted pea coat in several different colors - raspberry, turquoise and grey. There’s another shipment on the way with even more colors to choose from. If you’ve never heard of them, Tulle is an up-and-comer out of Sweden. This jacket sells for $75.

I’m looking for a great cold weather jacket. In my job as producer of A&E’s “Sell This House,” I travel around the country shooting shows. My next stop is Minneapolis, MN. BBRRRR. On my most recent trip to Fremont I went into the new boutique Flit. This Triple Five Soul “Bomber” jacket is perfect. It’s warm, but not bulky. Exactly what I’m looking for. If you’re not one for the faux fur, it zips off! This jacket sells for $150.

“Whoever said orange is the new pink is seriously disturbed” - Elle Woods, Legally Blonde. Well, then I must be crazy. While I’m not ready to give up my pink, I love orange for fall. I’m drawn to the underrated color. Over at Boutique Manhattan in Kirkland I found a great transitional top that will take me from summer to fall. It’s light enough to wear on its own, but will work great with a jacket, too. It’s also not too orange for those of you who don’t want to look like a pumpkin. The Joie peasant blouse sells for $165.

I have a new boutique on my list of favorites: Tweed. Located in Greenwood this shop carries an array of styles and designers - at unbelievable prices. Whether you’re conservative or a trendsetter, you’ll find great clothes. I found this Beau Bois flowy skirt for $77. It’s mesh, so it’s very comfortable and stretchy. Underneath the outer layer of tulle you get a peak of the girlie ruffle at the bottom. Very sexy. Right now you can’t beat the sale, through the weekend everything in the store (except jewelry) is 30% off.

Oslo’s men’s store on Queen Anne is having a great sale! All of their summer wear is 50% off, which means their fall stuff is coming in. While I’m not ready for fall, I couldn’t help wander toward the back corner where the new merchandise is. They have great Tommy Bahama pants, Lacoste shirts, and this button-up, contrast-stitched shirt by Mason’s. A nice classic cut with a twist of color for $145. As an added bonus, on Fri, Sat & Sun enjoy a shave by their barber Chad O.

Finding a good pair of jeans that fit can be a challenge, so trying to find a good pair of jeans that fit with a unique quality is almost impossible. I mean it was almost impossible until I wandered in to Sway & Cake this past week and found these Tag twisted jeans. See how the side seam twists its way to the front? What a great look! I almost fell off my cork-heeled wedges when I looked at the price tag: $83! That’s right, they’re on sale from $165.

It’s finally summer! In fact, Mother Nature may cooperate this weekend. To welcome the new season, I went on my annual quest for new shorts. I received several emails from Mercer at University Village telling me about their summer clearance sale (now going on), and because I can’t pass up a good sale I decided to stop in. I found these great James Perse carpenter roll up shorts. They’re pretty casual with a zip fly and wide waste band. But the best part is they’re really comfortable. For $115 these would make a great addition to any girl’s wardrobe.
