Brilliant flameless candles
October 15th, 2007
I have found the invention of the year! Candles are on my list of “favorite things,” especially in the winter when the sun goes down so early. My biggest gripe is how ugly they look when they start burning down. Local lady Denise Mayer has invented the perfect flameless candles. How brilliant! Yes, they’re fake, but you would never know it. The outside is made of wax, but instead of lighting them you just flip the switch. The light flickers just like a true candle and brightens the room just the same. Their beautiful designs will last much MUCH longer than a traditional candle. These candles can be found at London Flat for $69.
The one here is decorated with Swarovski crystals and goes for around $300. But you don’t have to shell out that much, it’s a door prize at this week’s trunk show:

Went to the show and LOVED the candles! What a creative idea. The candles looked like like the real thing with art on them. Many designs were shown, from whimsical, tuscany, paris and contemporay.
The one show in the picture for the drawing was beautiful. The picture above doesn’t do it justice.
