Tree art by Leif Holland

August 26th, 2007

Leif HollandI first ran across Leif Holland’s work at the Bellevue Arts Fair earlier this summer. It stood out in my mind because it’s not your generic painting or sculpture. I grabbed one of his cards that day and forgot about it. As I was updating my boutiques page I ran across his stuff once more at Square Room. This piece is called ‘opium den’ it’s a box that measures 7″X7″X3.4″. Bamboo is secured inside. He uses many different trees and stems to create his work. Some pieces are larger but I like this size. You don’t have to overwhelm a small wall with a large painting. Line up 3 of these and the space is instantly defined. This piece is $275.
