It’s in the bag

A few years ago Della Quimby of Della Q Imports quit her “day job” and started her own business making handbags. She’d been in Vietnam and bought a bag that got so much attention she decided to bring the style to the US. I’m glad she did. I bought this bag from her and learned that she had gone back to the place of her inspiration, Vietnam, and found women to carefully hand embroider each silk bag. She says a lot of women use them for their knitting supplies, while others use them for special occassions. I took mine to a wedding last weekend and it got rave reviews. This small silk bag retails for about $45 and can be found at several Seattle shops.
